 How was your weekend? Ours was indeed celebrated with something fizzy. Also lots of chocolate chip cookies.

 

 I saw this recipe for the best chocolate chip cookie on the planet by Jacques Torres on the Crepes of Wrath blog (which I adore and if you ever need a delish recipe with wonderful photos I highly recommend it) so I decided to give them a go this weekend. 

I'm happy to report I have a new fave recipe and that it's absolutely worth the wild goose chase to find both cake and bread flour A N D the 24 hour chill time!

Do you have a go to recipe for classics like the chocolate chip cookie?

The other day a friend of mine posted this to her twitter. I think it's just about the dreamiest thing I've ever seen. It makes me want to get in the kitchen!

I think I may attempt a new recipe this weekend... Lemon meringue pie sounds like a perfect match for the summer heat, doesn't it?

bacon chocolate chip cookies

A few weeks ago I saw Joy's post on bacon chocolate chip cookies and I knew immediately that I had to give them a go. I mean, it's bacon. And chocolate (three different kinds might I add). In a cookie!

I used the recipe she recommended and boy did they go over well! 

I know I'll be making these next time I'm craving something both sweet and salty.
